ENGAGEMENT SESSION ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY
I’ve heart people say “Oh, we’re just eloping so we don’t need an engagement session!” or “It’s not a priority right now.”
Don’t trick yourself into thinking you don’t need an engagement session — here’s why:
1. CONNECTION: You get to know your photographer and they get to know YOU TWO! Creating this connection prior to your wedding day, at least for me, is essential with my couples to capture their day the way I intend to, from the eyes of someone that cares about their love story and values them as individuals.
2. GET THOSE NERVES OUT: it can feel strange to be in front of someones camera at first, which is why I never suggest the first time being on your wedding day! So quickly it becomes natural to have me there talking, hanging with you two & shooting but there needs to be that time to practice and get comfortable!
3. LEARN MORE ABOUT EACH OTHER: Yep, I said it. While you’re enjoying each others company and adventuring during our time together, you’ll most likely discover something new about your partner— how they stand when they feel a bit vulnerable or how they kiss you a little harder when it’s really cold out…. and those moments are invaluable when you’re about to say “I do” to that person!
